Demi Lovato ‘Stable’ After Reportedly Overdosing
‘Cool for the Summer’ singer Demi Lovato was transported to a local hospital by the Los Angeles Fire Department on Tuesday. A source connected to the singer claims that Lovato did not overdose on heroin (contrary to previous reports), but declined to name the specific drug. The singer has been struggling with alcohol and drug addiction for a few years now, and has recently just celebrated 5 years of sobriety.
A representative for Lovato shared with Variety saying, “Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support. Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.”
Her concert set for next Thursday at Atlantic City Beach in New Jersey has been cancelled.
